The venue is set for one of the biggest strongman events of the year. Amateur and Pro Strongmen and Women throughout the country will gather to compete and to honor legendary pro strongman Jesse Marunde of Sequim, WA who passed away on July 25, 2007.
Jesse was only 27 years of age at his death and left behind a wonderful wife, Callie, 9-year-old son Dawson and an infant daughter, J.J.
100 % of ALL the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Marunde family.
Jesse Marunde will be regarded as one of the greatest strongman and showman of all times. He stood 6’5 and weighed 320 lbs with a six pack. Yet more than anything of this, Jesse will be remembered as a man with a heart bigger than a mountain. Jesse devoted his life to helping others and making everyone he came in contact with feel special.
This competition is to thank Jesse who has taught so many of us what it means to be a TRUE man. It is also a way for us to give back to Jesse even a fraction of what he has given and left all of us.
